June 17 (7:00 & 9:30 p.m.) at Don't Tell Mama:

It's Back!!! 7th Annual Production! Everybody has a "hidden" past -- The type of stuff that the tabloids are searching to discover for tomorrow's headlines. Well, it's time to beat them to the punch! Tom will once again appear in A Barry Birthday Bash. This cabaret show is an unabashed bash honoring the divine Mr. Manilow's birthday and offers reverence and camp. It ran at the Bryant-Lake Bowl for three years straight in Minneapolis (Tom was only involved in the 1st. year). The show was such a suprising success, that played for many encore performances. Well, the Twin-Cities producers are now in New York, and they are bringing the bash to Don't Tell Mama (343 West 46th St.). You'll laugh, you'll cry, it will touch your soul. Really. Check out The Big Barry Birthday Bash web site for a whole lot more information.

"Barry Birthday Bash -- "Happy Birthday" is a pretty dreary melody compared to the greatest hits of Barry Manilow. . . Tom Schmid will sing a medley of Manilow's commercial jingles, including "Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there."" [Oh boy!]
