Any list of the most prominent modern musical composers would certain have Stephen Sondheim and Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber ranked near the top. Both of their catalogs are filled with memorable hits. During these two nights in November you can hear many of their wonderful songs during this benefit concert for Broadway Cares - Equity Fights Aids and Haven House.

Broadway Cares - Equity Fights Aids is the nation's leading industry-based, not-for-profit AIDS fundraising and grant making organization. BC/EFA is the on-going, committed response from the American Theatre community to an urgent worldwide health crisis. By drawing upon the talents, resources, and generosity of this community, BC/EFA raises funds for AIDS-related causes across the United States. Since its founding in 1988, BC/EFA has raised over $100 million for critically needed services for people with AIDS, HIV or HIV-related illnesses.
Haven House is the oldest shelter of its kind in the United States, founded in 1964 by a local AlAnon group to shelter families of violent alcoholics. Their mission is to help women and their children on their way to a life free of violence and alcoholism/substance abuse, and provide a safe haven as well as counseling services for adults and children in residence; follow-up support services for former residents, and counseling for community clients who are not residents of the shelter. Haven House also helps educate the public about domestic violence and acts as an advocate for the needs of battered women with makers of public policy.
